Your team already asks Claude for captions, ad copy and the occasional proofreading of marketing emails. Then someone has to take that script to a designer, a video editor and go through multiple rounds of feedback.
Claude for marketing can now cover that second half too: with OpenArt connected, the same chat that writes the script can make the finished ad. Marketers are picking up Claude's tools fast. In a monthly NP Digital panel of the same 100 marketers, Claude Code use rose from 16% in February 2026 to 33% in April 2026.
This guide shows real ads OpenArt's team made this way, plus the briefs and prompts behind them. It is written for agencies and in-house teams that want to use Claude for marketing and make images and short videos without leaving Claude.
Key takeaways
- OpenArt MCP lets Claude and ChatGPT make images and videos on your OpenArt account from one chat.
- Claude writes the script and edits the ad with tools on your computer. OpenArt MCP makes the visuals.
- Real examples include a UGC-style ad, a talking presenter, magazine covers, layered posters and a listing video.
- You approve twice: once on the script and once with notes on the edit.
- One approved ad can become many: new hooks, 9:16 and 16:9 versions, and batches from a single message.
MCP Marketing: What It Means for Marketers
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a standard way to plug outside tools into an AI assistant. For marketers, it turns Claude from a writing tool into a complete production tool.
Claude can use OpenArt's image and video models from inside the chat, on your account. That is how Claude generates images and video, and every result lands in your OpenArt library for the next ad.
Setup takes a few minutes, and you need no API key:
- Claude: Open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector with
https://mcp.openart.ai/mcp. Sign in to OpenArt. The Claude setup guide shows each screen. - ChatGPT: Install the OpenArt plugin, sign in and type @OpenArt in a chat. See the ChatGPT setup guide.
- Kimi: Install the ‘OpenArt AI’ plugin from the plugins store, sign in, and type /OpenArt in the message box to enable it. See how to connect openArt MCP to Kimi.
Claude Code users can also try the OpenArt CLI, and our guide to MCP vs CLI helps you pick one.

Use Cases for Claude Marketing, With Prompts to Copy
These five use cases cover most of what teams ask from Claude for marketing campaigns each week. Each one comes with a prompt you can paste into Claude and adapt.
Creator-Style Talking-Head Ad (UGC Style) With 5 Hooks
A creator-style ad is a good first project when you start using Claude for marketing. The input can be short: a link to an ad the team liked, the line "use the girl I always use," a script and a few notes.
Claude searched the team's OpenArt library through MCP and found the host's earlier 25-second studio clip. It used that clip as the reference in Seedance 2.5 to make videos in Claude: two talking-head clips of 16 and 17 seconds at 1080p.
One more prompt made ten 5-second silent clips of her in new outfits and places.
The first edit had text over her face, so the second version followed the brand rules and moved all text off it. The final version placed everything inside the Instagram Reels safe zone.
Once the team approved the main part of the ad, one follow-up message made five hook versions. Claude kept the approved part and made a new 3-second opening clip for each one.
If you want UGC ads without the chat, the AI UGC ad generator does the same job in the OpenArt web app.
Use an AI host as a presenter for your brand. Ad platforms ban fake customer reviews, so never present an AI person as a real customer.
Prompt to copy:
Use @[reference video] only as the reference for the host's face, hair, voice, outfit and studio. Create one continuous 9:16 talking-head video of the same host saying this exact script, word for word, nothing else, as a friendly creator:
"[exact script]"
She sits at her desk, centered, mid-chest up, looking into the lens. Static camera, no cuts, no zoom. Keep face, voice, lip-sync and background consistent with the reference. Clean studio audio, no music. No text or captions in frame. Add a one-second beat of silence after the last line.
The last line of the prompt keeps the ending from getting cut off. In one test, the final word ended 10 milliseconds before the clip did.
A Talking Presenter
Claude can also give an AI presenter your own voice. For this ad, a team member recorded the 25-second script on her phone as an audio file.
Claude gave Seedance 2.5 three references: an AI video for her movement and room, an image for her outfit, and the phone recording for her voice.
When Claude laid the phone recording over the new clip, her lips drifted out of sync. The final ad used the voice track Seedance 2.5 generated with the clip, which already matched her lips.
Her face stayed recognizable from clip to clip. Still, check each clip for lip sync before you use it.
A few more tips help presenters look and sound real:
- Start with a character sheet. Ask for talking and laughing expressions, and add "no text labels."
- Pick a voice method. Leave the voice to the model, describe it in words, or attach a voice clip.
- Reuse your best clip. Make it the reference for the next one.
- Make the voice sound human. Put the exact script in quotes, add "word for word, nothing else". Add an "um," a breath or a laugh, name the mic and room, and add "no music."
If you want a customized voiceover, use your own voice or a voice you have written permission to use. Cloning someone else's voice without consent is a legal risk. To create presenter videos directly in the web app, try OpenArt AI avatar video generator.
Prompt to copy:
Use @video1 for the presenter's movement and room, @image1 for her outfit and @audio1 for her voice. Create a 9:16 talking-head video of her saying this script word for word, nothing else: "[script, about 25 to 30 words per 10 seconds]". Recorded on a lav mic in a small home office, natural pauses, one small laugh. No music. No text on screen.
Fashion Posters and Magazine Covers
You can even create still images with Claude for marketing campaigns. Create a fashion ad, using one photo of the model and a product shot of the outfit. Claude uses GPT Image 2 with both images as references to make images in Claude. You can even create magazine covers with the same face and outfit. Keep small text and app screens as real screenshots or graphics.
Prompt to copy:
Image 1 is the model's face. Image 2 is the outfit. Make a 4:5 fashion magazine cover with the model from image 1 wearing the outfit from image 2. Editorial studio lighting, a bold title at the top and two short cover lines. Keep her face and the outfit the same as in the references. Use an original magazine name, and do not imply the model endorses a product.
Posters You Can Edit Layer by Layer
Layered posters let you update one part of a marketing visual or design with Claude. The team made four product posters in GPT Image 2 and wrote each prompt so the subject overlapped the title, which made the layers split cleanly.
Extract Layers then split each poster into six layers. Using Claude, you can change a single layer with a plain prompt, while the rest of the poster stays the same. It lets you make targeted edits such as changing the product’s color, editing typography, or tweaking the headline.
Prompt to copy:
Make a 4:5 product poster for [product]. Put the title "[title]" behind the subject, with the subject overlapping the title for layered depth. Clean background, soft studio light.
Then follow up: "Split this poster into layers. Make the [object] [new color] and keep everything else the same."
A 9:16 Listing Video With No Presenter
Claude also covers videos with no presenter. Our team tested a 9:16 listing ad made with OpenArt's real estate feature on the team's account.
Claude asked two questions, about listing photos and music. Then it ran the Real Estate flow in Director mode and cut a 28-second 9:16 ad.
The test used stand-in photos. For a real listing, use real photos of the real home, because AI-made rooms can mislead buyers.
Prompt to copy:
Make a 9:16 listing video from the attached photos. Use the Real Estate flow in Director mode on my OpenArt account. Keep every room exactly as photographed. Ask me about music before you start.
Claude for Marketers: The Ad Workflow
The video ads above followed the same 8-step loop, and you step in at only three of the steps. Claude for marketing relies on four tools in one chat:
- OpenArt MCP makes the images and videos on your account. It creates a project for each ad and can read your past generations and uploads as references.
- Claude in Chrome captures frames from the reference ad and downloads the finished files. It also captures real app screens.
- A connected folder on your computer is where Claude edits the ad, using the Claude desktop app.
- A brand-rules skill in Claude holds your colors, fonts, logo placement and end card.
OpenArt MCP makes the visuals, and Claude edits them with the tools on your computer.
- Reference ad: You share an ad you like and a short goal.
- Breakdown: Claude watches it and lists the layout, caption style and pacing.
- Script: Claude writes the script. You approve it before anything is made.
- Generate: Claude makes clip and image through OpenArt MCP.
- Download: Claude pulls the files with Claude in Chrome.
- Edit: Claude cuts the ad and adds captions and an end card. See our guide on how Claude edits video
- Project file: Claude saves an editable files.
- Notes: You reply in plain words, like "music too loud" or "text is on her face," and Claude makes a new version.
A Claude Marketing Brief You Can Copy
A good marketing brief shows Claude the style to copy and sets the rules before anything gets made.
OpenArt's team wrote this brief for a planned ad about using OpenArt inside Claude and ChatGPT. Attach a reference video for the editing style, then send:
I want a 9:16 talking-head video about [your product or offer]. The top half shows the process, and the talking head sometimes goes full screen. Start with a hook like: "[your hook]". Help me think of something better.
Look through my talking-head assets on OpenArt and make the talking head the same way: same person, studio and voice. Show me the exact script before you generate anything.
Then make a full production ad. Keep all text and faces inside the Instagram Reels safe zone, and put no text on her face. Edit in After Effects and follow our brand guidelines. Check our website for real UI reference.
The rules in the last paragraph came from mistakes in earlier ads. Text landed on faces, and redrawn app screens looked wrong. Putting the rules in the brief fixes them before the first draft.
Ask Claude for hook ideas as well. A line like "Brands spend thousands on ads every week. I make mine in one chat" gives it a strong starting point.
For client work, add these fields above the brief so every ad has a clear owner:
Product or offer: [what you are advertising, with verified claims]
Audience: [who should see the ad]
Format and length: [for example, 9:16, 30 seconds]
Brand voice: [tone, plus words to use and avoid]
Approval owner: [the person who signs off on the script and the final ad]
Consent and rights: [permission for every face, voice, photo and logo you reference]
Versions and Batches: Many Ads From One Message
Marketers benefit from Claude at the version stage. Once the first ad is approved, new versions cost a few short clips.
The approved part stays locked, and only the part you want to test changes.
- Both formats: Ask for 9:16 and 16:9 in the same message. Square background clips crop cleanly into both, so each style needs only one generation.
- New hooks: Keep the approved ad and make a new 3-second opening clip for each version. Five hooks cost five short clips, and you get five ads ready to A/B test.
- Restyles: One prompt gave the host ten new outfits and places, ten 5-second clips from a single reference.
- Batches: Ask for "10 product ads for my clothing brand" and have Claude show the storyboard and all ten ideas before it spends credits. Silent 5-second product clips work well here, because you can test visuals without recording a voiceover for each one.
- Draft first: Seedance 2.5 Draft makes a 480p video at the 480p price. Upgrade only the version you choose to 1080p.
Hook follow-up to copy:
Love it. Now make hook variations. Here are my hooks:
1. "[hook 1]"
2. "[hook 2]"
3. "[hook 3]"
4. "[hook 4]"
5. "[hook 5]"
Keep everything after the hook the same. Reuse the same talking-head take, UI footage and product clips. Only generate a new 3s hook clip for each one, with the same studio and voice, and match the captions. Export each as 9:16 and name the files by hook. Show me the hook lines before generating.
Tips for Agencies and Teams Using Claude for Marketing
These habits came from the ads above, and most of them came from fixing something.
- Put brand rules in the brief. List colors, fonts, logo placement and the end card, or keep them in a Claude skill your whole team shares. Add logos, products and recurring characters as image references from your OpenArt library. In this workflow, brand rules live in the brief or the Claude skill, because OpenArt Brand Kit settings apply inside OpenArt's own tools.
- Keep the safe zone. On a 1080x1920 Reels frame, leave the 14% of the top, 35% of the bottom, and 6% on each side of the asset to avoid cropping or overlapping them with text, icon/logos, or CTAs.
- Ask for the cost first. Claude can show the credit cost before it generates, so add "show me the cost before you generate" to every brief.
- Use real screens for small text. App screens and typed text read best as real screenshots or graphics. Use AI video for people and products.
- Save your best clips. A strong host clip becomes the reference for the next ad, which keeps the host recognizable from ad to ad.
- Give each client its own folder. Agencies can keep each client's references and brand rules apart, so nothing leaks between accounts.
