How to Set Up Claude AI Image Generator
Setting this up takes about a minute. You add OpenArt as a custom connector in Claude, sign in, and start asking for images.
Open Claude's Connector Settings
Open the Claude app on your desktop or go to claude.ai in your browser. Open Settings, click Connectors, then scroll to the bottom of the connector list and click Add custom connector.
Add the OpenArt Connector
Name the connector OpenArt and paste https://mcp.openart.ai/mcp into the URL field, and you can leave the advanced settings empty. Click Add, and Claude checks the link before it saves the connector.
Sign In and Prompt It
Click Connect and sign in to OpenArt, then set permissions to Always Allow. Describe the picture, like "Make a brown-colored poster for a coffee shop, using GPT Image 2", and it is delivered in the chat.

Pick the Model That Fits Your Picture
Name the model you want and Claude uses it. Ask for a poster with words on it and GPT Image 2 or Nano Banana Pro handles the text. Ask for anime or illustration and Seedream 5.0 Pro is the better fit. If you are not sure, just describe the picture and Claude picks a model for you.
Turn Your Photo Into a New Image
Upload a photo in your Claude chat and say what you want changed. You can swap the background, change the lighting, or put the subject in a new place, and the person or product still looks like itself. This is the same AI image generator you use on the OpenArt website, so you get the same results.
