Photographs, illustrations, AI-generated images, and screenshots all work. The tool is less reliable on heavily compressed inputs, images with large watermarks or UI overlays, and complex collages where there’s no clear subject. For best results, upload original-resolution sources.

Common causes include heavily compressed source images, expanding from square to ultra-wide formats in a single step, or using a model that doesn’t match the image style well. In many cases, expanding in stages or trying a different model can improve the result.

Yes. The tool is included with any OpenArt account, free or paid. Free tier covers most casual use; paid plans remove rate limits and unlock the full pipeline (video animation of expanded images, music, character consistency).

Yes. Write a short prompt describing what should appear, “continue the gradient sky with clouds,” “show the rest of the table.” The prompt is optional; without one, the model infers from the original.

The prompts are currently generated in English because most leading AI models are primarily trained on English prompt structures.
