Gawlers funeral home
Meanwhile back in DC at the Walter Reed hospital where Peter Parker breathed his last, his body was prepared for the public viewing. At 1 pm the day before a secret service detail was to take him to Gawler’s funeral home, the same one that had handled the arrangements for past presidents from JFK to Garfield.
The motorcade was a solemn procession, the sound of its engines muffled by the quiet respect of the city. The streets were lined with people paying their respects, holding up signs, flowers, and wearing Spider-Man masks. The Parker family followed closely behind, feeling both the weight of their loss and the warmth of the public’s affection.
The flying cars hovered low in the sky, creating a clear path for the motorcade as it approached the funeral home. Inside, Peter’s body lay in an open casket, dressed in his iconic red and blue suit, a symbol of hope and strength even in death despite his old age dying at tge age of 100 he looked young and serene, as if he was only sleeping. The room was filled with bouquets of red roses and white lilies, sent by heads of state and everyday citizens alike.
For 4 hours a private visitation was held as the casket was guarded round the clock by soldiers from the joint guards of honor from each branch of the United States military. The Avengers, now a mix of both new and old members, took turns standing vigil, their faces a mix of sorrow and determination. They knew Peter’s legacy was in their hands and they had to ensure that his sacrifice was never forgotten.
On the afternoon of July 5 2100 The Catholic priest who the day before was administering the last rights to Peter Parker said a final blessing before a special Air Force One mission was to take the casket to Andrews Airforce Base to begin the journey to New York City.
