Prompt: Imagine you are standing on the shore of a lake, watching the sun rise over the horizon. As the sunlight travels through the Earth's atmosphere, it interacts with the air molecules and water vapor, causing it to scatter in all directions. However, some of the sunlight manages to reach the surface of the lake and reflects off the water, creating a bright and shimmering reflection.

As you continue to watch the reflection, you notice that it appears to be bent slightly at the edges where it meets the shoreline. This is due to the phenomenon of refraction, where the light waves are bent as they pass from one medium (air) to another (water).

As you walk along the shoreline, you notice that the reflection changes direction slightly depending on your angle of view. This is because of the particle property of reflection, where light changes direction when it encounters a surface.

You then come across a large rock that is partially submerged in the water, and you notice that the reflection of the sun appears to "spill over" the edges of the rock. This is due to the wave property of diffraction, where waves "bend around" obstructions.

Finally, you take out a pair of polarized sunglasses and put them on. You immediately notice that the shimmering reflection on the water disappears, as one of the fields of light is eliminated by the polarization of the sunglasses. This is the property of polarization, where light waves can be filtered to eliminate one oftheir fields.

So in this scenario, all six properties of light are present and visible: the particle properties of straight line travel, reflection, and refraction, and the wave properties of interference, diffraction, and polarization.
