Prompt: Good Night Reflections: A Hard Lesson in Forgiveness 🌙

As I wind down for the night, I’ve been thinking about a tough lesson I learned on my journey through life. There was a time when someone close to me broke my trust, and despite my best efforts, I couldn’t forgive them. The resentment I held onto only ended up consuming me and led me to treat that person in ways I’m not proud of. I'm sorry.

It took a while, but I finally realized that if you can’t truly forgive someone, holding on only hurts both of you. It creates a cycle of pain that’s hard to break. I learned that sometimes, the strongest thing you can do is let go, for your peace and theirs.

Letting go isn’t a sign of weakness. It’s a sign that you value healing over holding onto hurt and inflicting. Feelings affect everything.

As you close your eyes tonight, think about what you might be holding onto that’s keeping you from peace. Have you ever struggled to forgive someone? How did you handle it? Let’s share our stories and grow together. Good night, everyone.
