Oriana is Madoc’s wife and a former consort of the High King. Oriana is highly protective of Oak, a young boy she insists is her son, and generally ignores Madoc’s other children. In particular, she speaks down to Taryn and Jude because they are fully human. However, by the end of the novel, Oriana agrees to trust Jude and works alongside her to protect Oak, who is actually the son of Oriana’s good (and deceased) friend, Loriope. - Artwork in the style of Charles Marion Russell
