Moving to the latest version of OpenArt
The previous version of OpenArt will retire on November 16, 2026, at 11:59 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST). The latest version, available since February, brings together our latest tools for creating images, videos, characters, and more.
Your account, subscription, and credits stay the same, and your existing images, videos, and audio are already available. Here’s everything you need to know.
1. How do I access the latest version of OpenArt?
Visit openart.ai and sign in with your existing account. There’s no need to create a new account.2. When will the previous version retire?
The previous version will retire on November 16, 2026, at 11:59 PM PST. After that, you’ll use the latest version of OpenArt to continue creating.
You can start exploring it now with the same account you already use.
3. What happens to my subscription and credits?
Your subscription and credits work across both versions of OpenArt and will remain unchanged. There’s nothing to transfer, and you don’t need to resubscribe or take any action.
Your plan, billing, and credit balance stay the same. You won’t lose any credits or have them expire because of this transition.
4. What happens to my existing images, videos, audio, and Characters?
Your images, videos, and audio are already available in the latest version of OpenArt under Assets → Media. Your Characters are also available under Character. You don’t need to transfer or upload anything manually.5. What happens to my Stories?
Stories will retire with the previous version of OpenArt, and existing Story projects can’t be transferred into the latest version.
For your next video, try Director. Describe your idea in a conversation, then plan your shots and refine your video with natural-language instructions. You can use Director to create film, ads, music video, explainer video, and any other content you like.
You can download your Stories for free until December 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM PST.
- Story video (.mp4): The finished video of your Story.
- Story assets (.zip): A package of the assets used in your Story, including images and videos, voice-overs, lip-sync audio, and music. The ZIP file contains the assets only, not an editable Story project file.
How to download: Go to the Download Page - Stories. You can download one Story video at a time or select up to 10 Stories to download at once. To download the assets, click Export assets to generate a ZIP file. We’ll also email you a download link.
To download Stories from a team workspace, switch to that workspace at the top of the page.
6. What happens to my custom models?
Custom Models will retire with the previous version of OpenArt and can’t be transferred into the latest version.
If you use custom models to keep a character consistent, try Character. Create a character from a few reference images without training a custom model, then use that character across images and videos. Try starting with one of your favorite characters.
You can download your custom models for free until December 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM PST. Download each one as a .safetensors file if you want to keep a copy for use elsewhere.
How to download: Go to the Download Page - Custom Models. Click Download next to the model you want to keep. You can download one model at a time.
To download custom models from a team workspace, switch to that workspace at the top of the page.
7. When is the deadline to download my Stories and custom models?
You can download your Stories and custom models until December 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM PST. After that time, the download page will close, and your Stories and custom models will no longer be available for download.8. More questions?
