Subject Description: A Zapotec palace of the Coquitao and Her queen Don Juan Cortes on the Main Plaza of the Oaxacan city of Mitla. The palaces are built in the Ñuiñe tradition reflecting all the stylistic features of Mixteca Puebla tradition.
The walls are decorated with geometric patterns known as grecas depicting mesoamerican motifs representing the snake and the water.
The roof is covered with ceramic tiles made of brick.
