Prompt: Storytime with Randy !

    I once 'married' a couple.
I'm thinking 1984, give or take a couple years.

There is a cool little Chapel on the Ft. Lewis College campus in Durango. It's on the edge of the mesa, great view down into town.
Friends of mine were getting married , Russ Woodson and Georgia at that pleasant Chapel.
The Gang and I showed up to join in and celebrate the nuptials.
I arrived. Russ and Georgia rushed up to me and said, "We didn't get our Marriage License in time. The Pastor will not be here.
Randy , will you marry us?"

    Wuff. Say what ?!?

I felt honored . But .... Holy Shit.
So with FIVE MINUTES to prepare, I got some lines together. Basically , I stole my lines from Peter Paul and Mary's " The Wedding Song.''
And 10 minutes later, they were married! And the partying began. We always had great parties for weddings.

They got the license, then got married 'For Real' by their pastor, a couple days later.
